Utah Bans Life Without Parole for Juveniles — MacArthur Foundation

 Utah has banned the sentence of life without parole for juvenile offenders under the age of 18, joining 15 other states. MacArthur grantee the Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth was a leader in efforts to bring about this reform to ensure that children are not sentenced to die in prison.
