Father’s Day – A Happy Day for Many Families, But Also a Tearful Day for Many.

Today, June 19, 2016, Father’s Day, is a very happy day for many families. Many cards are given to dads saying: “You’re the best father in the world, #1 Daddy, and I Love You Very Much Daddy! etc.”

All fathers love to read their cards out loud: and their hearts fill with sweet, loving joy as he receives hugs and kisses from their child. And vice versa, every child loves to hear his/her father read the loving cards out loud: and the child’s heart also fills with sweet, loving joy when they embrace their father. Father’s Day is a day to cherish.

And yet, I write this with heartfelt sadness, because these past few days, weeks and years have been filled with too many senseless murders: and Father’s Day reminded me that today is tearful day for many families. I was reminded about the psychopathic murderers who destroyed the lives of too many families.

Now, I have to admit that my heart’s sadness is also mixed with anger. I am sad for the children who did not experience the joy of Father’s Day: and I am angry because a psychopathic killer murdered their father. I am also sad for the fathers who did not receive a card today from their child because their child was murdered by a psychopathic killer. Too many innocent lives have been lost. I’ve said this many times:

“Psychopathic killers do what they want, they take what they want, and they are not afraid of our laws!”

So as we end our joyful Father’s Day celebration, I am thankful that I was able to give my dad a hug and say Happy Father’s Day. And I know my dad was happy to give me a hug, too. I am thankful that my boys have their dad to hug and to give a special Father’s Day card. We must cherish our family every day of our lives.

A heartfelt sympathy to all tearful families.
