Chelsea Handler said, “…We all make mistakes all the time…. Like millions of women, I can live my life without an unplanned child born out of an unhealthy relationship because of Roe v. Wade,”
Twenty-five years ago, a 16-year-old teen, had two unplanned pregnancies and two abortions within the same year. Now, the 41-year-old celebrity, Chelsea Handler made the choice to publicly announce her personal teen life story in an essay she wrote on abortion rights.
Chelsea Handler said, “…We all make mistakes all the time…. Like millions of women, I can live my life without an unplanned child born out of an unhealthy relationship because of Roe v. Wade,” Handler wrote.
Well, Chelsea, many of our laws are weak and primitive. Furthermore, an UNWANTED pregnancy is devastating, but an UNPLANNED teen pregnancy is morally wrong. Teenage boys and teenage girls must understand that a baby is not something you have fun making and then decide to throw in the garbage because you still want to LIVE your life.
“A baby is not a mistake! A baby is a precious gift, and you and your parents, and our lawmakers literally threw your babies in the garbage!” – The Watchful Mom
Furthermore, we, as parents, are teaching our kids to be loving, sensitive and compassionate human beings. We want our kids to make healthy, moral decisions. Therefore, Chelsea, admitting no remorse for your immoral teen actions is wrong.
Chelsea Handler also said, “…. It’s okay if you think it’s not right for women to have abortions — but it’s not your problem, because we decide,” Handler said.
Well, Chelsea, you have now made it our problem. Our kids are listening to your insensitive laughter about your mistake. Therefore, Mrs. Handler, no more excuses for your unplanned teen pregnancy. Thus, instead of teaching teens to make excuses, use your celebrity power to create a strong, positive “Stop Teen Pregnancy” movement. Teens must understand the horrible facts about abortion, and let’s teach teens to make healthy, moral decisions.
Together, let’s educate our irresponsible, immature teenage boys and immature teenage girls that an unplanned teen pregnancy is morally wrong. Teenage boys must understand that it is wrong to get a girl pregnant. And teenage girls must understand that an unplanned pregnancy is wrong.
Let’s first begin by teaching teens that a baby’s heartbeat is a sign of life.
